Final Artist's Statement #4

For the final project, I had trouble coming up with ideas on what to do. I knew that I would do something pop culture related, which I ended up using to a certain extent. I've been seeing a lot of wizard memes on the internet, so I decided that one of the characters on the character select screen was going to be a wizard. The other two characters you could choose from were Ben Shapiro; a right wing talk show host, and Yoshi. I figured that would be a nice and random balance of funny characters that would react to each situation very differently. While looking at some of the things that worked for other students in almost every project, I noticed that weed humor was very popular, so I made the story about a quest to find more weed. I wrote down my plot line for each character on a sheet of paper before I started making the pages on Wix. Once I began building each page, I realized that I was in for a lot more work than I thought. The story ended up being shorter than I wanted, and lacked variety between the character choices. If I gave myself more time to work on it I'm sure I would have made a better final product.

Doing an artistic project on a website builder like Wix felt very clunky and repetitive. I also think for this reason, I was less inspired to actually make art for this project. Nevertheless, It's a great idea for a project and it allows for a lot of creativity, especially for those who aren't as fluent with programs like after effects, photoshop, etc..

Project #4 Brainstorm blog

For project 4, I'm going to make some sort of choice game similar to some that were shown in class. I'm not entirely sure what the game will be about, but I know that it will probably be kind of funny

Project #3 Artist statement

For this project, I created a whimsical story about the dangers of listening to Tik Tok advice. The project is a cumulation of almost everything we learned in the class leading up to this point. I use
